We include only .ie websites in our results, this ensures that you find websites that are either in Ireland or aimed at Irish people. Because we only display .ie websites when you click on one of our results you can be sure the site you visit has been registered with the IEDR. The IEDR has a strict registration policy. People applying for a .ie domain name who are not situated in the 32 counties of Ireland, must demonstrate a Real and Substantive Connection with Ireland. In 2007 McAfee's Site Advisor ranked the .ie domain as one of the safest ccTLD's worldwide.
Bigger search engines(Google, Yahoo, Bing, etc.) have always had trouble with local search. These companies are concentrating there efforts on providing worldwide results and because of this sometimes their country specific search results can be neglected. At Miracle Search we are working hard to deliver a service that right now is not being provided by any of the major search engines. Our index is human edited so things like spam are kept to an absolute minimum and if you find a website that attempts to spread viruses or contains other malicious content simply inform us and we can promptly remove it from our index.
